Holistic Health – the whole-person view behind Love is Medicin

Holistic health means seeing a person as a whole. For Josefin, body, mind and nature belong together – and that whole-person view is behind everything in Love is Medicin, from the water to the community.

The term

What does holistic health mean?

The word holistic comes from the Greek holos, meaning whole. Holistic health is about seeing the whole rather than a single part.

Sleep, movement, food, relationships, nature and inner calm all affect each other. When you look at them together, it becomes easier to understand what gives you energy – and what takes it away.

A holistic view does not replace healthcare. It is a way of looking at your everyday life and your choices.

Body, mind and nature

It is a way of seeing – not a service. Josefin approaches it from three directions:

Body

Movement you feel in your body – like somatic movement – and recovery, warmth and food that gives you energy.

Mind

Presence, breathing and stillness. Moments where you land and slow down.

Nature

Sauna and cold plunges, forest and sea, fire and water – time outdoors that reminds you of what matters.

In everyday life

Small conscious choices in everyday life

A whole-person view is rarely about big changes. These are everyday choices you can start with today:

  • Spend a moment outdoors in daylight every day, ideally near water or trees.
  • Move your body in a way that feels good – not as a performance.
  • Start the day with a few calm breaths before you reach for your phone.
  • Give yourself time to recover, without a guilty conscience.

Inspiration – not healthcare

Holistic Health is Josefin’s philosophy and a source of inspiration. It is not medical diagnosis or treatment.

If you have symptoms or an illness, or take medication, always talk to a healthcare professional.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about holistic health

What does holistic mean?

Holistic comes from the Greek holos, whole. A holistic perspective looks at the whole – how different parts of life fit together – instead of looking at one part at a time.

Is holistic health the same as alternative medicine?

No, not necessarily. It is a way of looking at the whole of your everyday life. Love is Medicin never replaces healthcare and provides no medical treatment.

How does the whole-person view connect to the water?

For Josefin, water is a natural part of the whole of everyday life. What Electrolyzed Reduced Water is and how the technology works is explained on the ERW page – without health claims.

Is this philosophy connected to Wellness Circle?

Yes. In Wellness Circle we meet around sauna, cold plunges, movement and nature – the same whole-person view, but in community.
